DVD-R with scrathes

Hi, one of the dvd's i had bunred a while ago keeps skipping in my dvd player stand alone because of pretty bad scrathes on the DVD. my question is:

If i copy and reburn this dvd will it play fine on my DVD player again or will it not recognize the disc.

If you're able to copy the contents of the scratched disc to your harddrive and then burn an exact copy from that copy then it should play just fine. The trick will be successfully copying all files on the scratched disc to your harddrive. Good luck.

Copying may fail whereas DVD Decrypter or WinISO may succeed. You can always make a disc image, which often works better than file-copying on read errors.
