What would be the best program out there for converting multiple sound formats to other formats (i.e. wav to mp2, mp2 to mp3, etc.)? I'm new to audio conversion tools and I downloaded Cool Edit 2000 and don't know how to use it (will cool edit 2000 solve my problem?).

Cool Edit is a great program for audio editing, and it supports .wav and .mp3. For mp2, Im not sure, but if you need it for DVD's and such, TMPEG takes care of that encoding for you.
