  1. Hi there movie-makers ..

I'm still having problems using CCE 2.5 to convert my AVI's "DV type 2" .

    I'm getting a "Couldn't find appropriate video codec for "dvsd" " .

.. the transcoding window pops up but it doesn't transcode

I do not have problems using any other software to convert those AVI's Ulead, ProCoder, TmpgEnc etc ... but I think CCE is so much better ...

Any hint/help would be much apreciated.. thanks .

on interlaced DV files .. procorder, main concept and tmpegenc all do a really good job .. some would say on interlaced files , cce isnt as good as some other encoders .... then again others would not say that ..

if you have a problem .. just frame serve them to CCE .

  3. Thanks for the advice, I also think Procoder does a good job but.. I can not compare with CCE as I never could get CCe to work with this kind of files.

Frame serve ?!.. seems complicated ...

  4. Do you have the Canopus codec installed? If so, you can use the 4cc changer - change to cdvc and it will try to call up the canopus codec to decompress (which I think gives a little better result anyway.) 4cc changer here.

Check to be sure there's no watermark appearing before you encode! There shouldn't be, but if you've got some demo versions of CCE software installed, you might run into a problem.
