I was wondering how VCD recorder that record TV movie on CD-r and/or CDRW can record an entire movie because most movies are bigger than 60 minutes and I suppose that it's impossible to swap disk while recording movies...
Or perhaps theses recorders only record 60' movies... so there are not very interesting...

Yeah, I've thought about that too! I mean, it doesn't matter how good the quality is, since you can't record for very long anyway.. and as for SVCD recorders.. which can only record like 35 min /cd .. that should be pretty pointless?
Then the only option left is Harddisk VCD/SVCD recorders..

I have a Terapin standalone deck and while I do have the very rare problem with it, I swear by it - it's not quite as versatile as a VCR, but I dub out the commercials on a VHS tape and one hour-long drama or three half-hour shows will fit on a single CD. As for movies, I just treat it like a laser disc and pick a decent place to stop roughly half way through the movie. Seriously - this the way to go - VCDs are cheaper and last longer than VHS. SOMEtimes, the picture is even better than VHS. Until CHEAP blank DVDs come along, VCDs are the only digital alternative to VHS. I LOVE VCD!
