Is there a limit on the size of a file at 4 Gigabyte? Whenever I try to create a DVD image file over 4 Gigabytes, it stops and says out of disk space, but under 4 Gigabytes it is ok.
If so, is there anything I can do? I don't want to waste my DVD-R capacity.

There is a 4GB filesize limit on the FAT32 filesystem which win98 and winme uses. If you upgrade to XP NT or 2000 you can change your filesystem to NTFS which supports filesizes far in excess of 4GB

I am using Window XP right now. But the problem is, do I have to format the harddisk again? May be I chose FAT32 when I first format the harddisk.

No you do not have to format.I changed my second hard drive to ntfs, using the instructions i found on microsofts website.Do a search in the xp knowledge base, and it works.A couple of dos commands and its done.
