  1. I tried to make a copy of a VCD which was originated from one of the asia countries with Nero 5.5-CD copy. After reading the target CD 100% (which created an image.ngr file), the Nero stopped responding. Usually after reading the target CD 100% the burning process started, but for this particular VCD it did not happen.

I suspect that this is one of copy protected VCDs. I can see the directory and files in the VCD but I can not copy/open the DAT file. I also tried burning directly from CD to CD using Adaptec CD copier however it always failed with "target can not be read" error. Any idea/suggestion ? Please help. Thanks.

  2. Tried the same myself. What good does it do to have a 500MB+ file on the CD that you have to change the format and then reburn anyway? Only thing I found to be good about the Nero method is that it did encode quicker than other programs.

Not into protection myself, let others do it for me But most do not use Nero, try CDRWin or Clone.
