Here is my problem. I have ATI TV Wonder VE. I had it for a while and got tired of trying to make it work. Today i decided to try it with another capture program. I used WinDVD, virtualdub and vcr something. All of them worked but I can only watch Channel 4. When I did this I had the cable(coaxil) connected directly to the ati. I thought by connected the ati card and the tv together i could change channels through the tv. I was wrong. I bought a splitter. It has one in(for tv) and two outs(one for cable wire and one cable wire from computer) I turned tv on and got cable. Then tryed all capture programs but still got only channel 4. Any suggestions. I do not have a vcr to try that method. I thought this method would work because that is what the splitter is used for.

you must use your software program to change channels. first in options have it scan for all available channels then once that is done you change the channels with the program usually page up or page down.

I cannot use the program because it has too many errors in it. That is why I used another program to capture. Is there another way.

Maybe you should try installing the Btwincap drivers...

You need WIN DVR to use your ATI with it to changes channels or WIN DVDRecorder. What are the errors you are getting with the ATI software?

Did you get one of the newer boxed AT Tv Wonder VE models that said XP on the box? Reason I ask Best Buy continues to sell the one that XP does not support(has the old software) and won't work on XP with that software. I bought another new one at COMPUSA with a remote that was for XP. It installed just fine. I run an All In Wonder 8500 DV on the new software that supports multiview and I have a second older TV Wonder VE running with it. PIP (picture in Picture). Same setup with my AIW 9700 Pro. Look on the box or did you get from a third party for the XP logo? If it isn't there I would download the latest drivers, unistall the old ones and hope for the best.

The reason I mentioned this is because I have had two other people complain about the ATI AIW VE doing the same thing on their XP systems. The culprit was the software and the origin of the product. Also make sure because I had a similar problem that you have the latest Direct X 9 and Media player. There was a post or something on their web site. The ATI software has a test utility in start/program/ati something? Run that and see what it says. I think it also will link you to their site to get the required fix.
