Hi, I am very new at all this, so forgive for asking stupid questions.

I have encoded an AVI movie to MPEG using TMPGenc, using the VideoCD (Pal) template. Everything is perfect, image, sound, that's all good, but my problem is:
There is a black border at the left of the video. (I've encoded with Video Arrange Method = Full Screen (keep aspect ratio))

Is there a way to get rid of this black line? Can I cut it out or something? Please help!!

you would not see it on a tv anyway - to get rid of it requires re-encoding..

  5. I have seen this exact same problem with the black border on the left with some of my DVDr's. It is like that on one of my televisions and barely visible on another.

Capture Ulead video studio7 (full screen 4:3)
Smartrender with Ulead Media Studio 7 (same as capture, full screen 4:3)
Burn with Ulead movie factory 2 (no conversion)

Can it be that the TV's CRT Yoke is out of adjustment?
