  2. I need the same conversion. I found this http://www.videocapturecard.com/comp2svideo.html, but they seem to have stopped making them (and the quality appears to have been sub-par anyway).

  3. I had bought one about 6 mon ago. Radio shack $25.
Don't give in to DVD2ONE, that leads to the dark side.

do you have a s-video out on the thing you want to plug into your acdv. You don't get any better quality if you convert from componet to s-video rather than s-video to s-video. You might even get worse if your converter isn't that good.

  6. Fry's had one for $4.95. It works both ways, svideo to composite, and composite to svideo and its small about 1 inch in size.

  7. Folks. We're talking about converting COMPONENT to s-video, not COMPOSITE.

Component: Three wires = Y (luminance), U (Pb; chrominance), V (Pr; chrominance)

    S-video: Two wires = Y (luminance), C (U and V combined chrominance)

Composite: One wire = luminace and chrominance combined

    There is some confusion here
I want to convert COMPONENT to S-video
    Component not composite
Component has 3 cables RED BLUE and GREEN (I think thjose are the colors) this is what I want to convert to S-video
Composite video however is a single yellow cable
    Thanks
