Before when I used to rip DVD and burn it to VCDs the volume used to be very loud. But now, it's so soft! I know I didn't change any settings, I hope. But if you can tell me how to make the volume much louder, that would be like so much thanks to you. BTW, I'm doing Sefy's way of DVD2VCD.

If you use TMPG, go to the advanced tab, doubleclick on audio effect> change volume.

Won't affect file size. I prefer to do this in DVD2AVI thou, clock on Audio | Normalize, a setting of ~72 seems to work for me (make sure to check the little box in the rop right to enable the filter).
ASIDE - you can also save time by not downsampling your ripped audio from 48k to 44.1k, most DVD players will play an x(S)VCD with 48k audio no trouble.
