well, I've only HEARD of this and haven't tried it yet. But supposidly TMPEG can convert the video to avi, but there will be no audio. (put the flash file in Winamp and SOME flash files will play only audio, if you hear the movie, just set Winamp to wav out and sync it in virtualdub or something).
The other way I know of is there's a program called "This isn't Real Anymore" (since I'm not at my computer I can't check my hard drive to be sure), but anyway, this program records anything on your PC monitor. You simply designate an area on your screen by drawing a box around the object you want to record. This program is on this site so look in the .ra to avi etc section and one of the tools is this one I'm talking about. Anyway, hope any of this helps ya ^_^

I didn't know TINRA (This Is Not Real Anymore) supports all sorts of file types. I thought it was made only for RealPlayer files?

Anyways, another method you can use is to open the video in QuickTime (yes QT supports SWF files). Then export it as an AVI. I believe you can even choose a codec compression and all. It's still a little buggy method, but sometimes it works out just fine. Then use the AVI in TMPGEnc to convert to VCD MPEG-1. Give it a shot.
