I'm burning a movie as a vcd. The file is actually an avi and im converting it to mpg using tmpgenc. The movie im burning is wide screen. Is there anyway that I can convert the file with good quality, because everytime I've made a cd it gets that widened "boxy" look. What can I do??

use the soften block noise feature under quantize matrix of meg setting in tmpgenc.....the higher the number, more noise reduced, but makes the movie look softer....you may also try implementing the noise reduction filter and using highest quality motion search, all at a loss of speed in encoding, but worth it
