I have to convert some Betacam SP (30 min) tapes to DVD.
    I intent to use a Canopus ADVC-100
I purchaced a used BVW-10 and need some help understanding the outputs. What would be the best way of getting input to the S-video of the ADV-100
    The inputs are labelled
Dub out U matic (multi pin connector with a bayont lock)
Dub / component Out (multi pin connector with a screw lock)
    Monitor (8 pin rectangular output)
Video 1 and 2 out labelled (comp/non comp)
Time Code out Time code in Ref video in

I have elsewhere read a descriptionas follows:-
    9-pin RS-422, 36-pin parallel control. 7-pin dub out, 12-pin

So how do I get the best output from this?
What cables / adapters dop I need?
    Thanks

Your best way would be to use the Datavideo DAC-2. Then connect the component outputs to the DAC-2. About $600 USD.

Don't remember if a BVW-10 has normal S-video outputs. See your other post.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?
