    No, SVCDs are burned onto CD-Rs, so a CD Burner would be fine.

  3. I don't think so. I recall making some SVCD discs using my CD burner and then I used my DVD player and drive to play them back.

    Bob W, the answer is you can use a CD-RW or a DVD-+RW to make SVCDs that will play on a DVD player provided the player supports CD-Rs
