    I have a NEC nd1100a. I have had pretty good results so far. Been using the blank Sonys, TDK, Etc. all the popular brands. I ordered some silver blanks from shop4tech to save some money but when I put them in the drive it does not see it. I use DVD Moviefactory and when I hit 'output' it says insert blank disc or something like that. Has anyone else had this problem and figured out what was wrong. Thanks

    You did get DVD+R media, not DVD-R?

    Well now looking at it, it is -r. Not that I know the difference anyway \

    The NEC drive only works with DVD+R media.
