dv caputre not clear..............urgent

i wonder if someone can helpme

i am using motion dv studio which came with firewire card, but when i start caputreing, little green boxes appear which doesnt go and stay fixed,,
i used premier and windv but with them whole picture is distorted very badly..

any any suggestions or help, please help

Distorted picture? How? A screenshot would help. Sometimes DV looks like it's been captured poorly (ex: too small), but when you export it back to tape it's actually OK. Many people have found that Windows Media Player doesn't play back DV video at full resolution.

Now, if you are having other problems such as weird artifacts in your video, I don't really know what that would be, which is why attaching a photo to your post would really help.
