  1. Okay... this is what I know to be good to do.

Most of time, the sound track of a DivX is in 48000. I use VirtualDub to extract the WAV from the DivX.

After That, I use Cool Edit Pro to convert the sample rate from 48000 to 44100.

In TMPGEnc, I use the Audio source the new WAV file.

I do that because convert the DivX straight in TMPGEnc the sound is not good.

But I don't know why, this not working anymore. The version of TMPGEnc i use right now is 2.513.53.162

Someone have a better way to convert a DivX when the sample rate sound is at 48000 using TMPGEnc?

  2. Okay... I've found the error..... the audio track is in MP3 but at 96kbps...

Normal that the sound don't look good, the bitrate is too low...

But does the way I convert my audio track when is in 48000 is good, or a beter way exist?

  3. If you convert the mp3 to wav then resample to 44.1. It will not however make the quality of say a 192 kbps file from a 96kbps file. Old saying here is "garbage in garbage out".

  5. I do the downsampling in vdub when I save the wav file, just select audio convert and choose 44.1 khz. Quicker that way.

  6. Or if you want (for future reference) you can resample in Sound Forge or Cool Edit when you want high quality wav files.
