  1. I have burnt around 15 dvdr's and all movies hangs when it passes around 1h 37min in my standalone. I have tryed a few diffrent medias and also 3 diffrent standalones and its the same with them all, also tryed to burn with Prassi, Nero, DVD Decrypter, Recordnow but nothing seems to help.

Any1 have a clue how to solve this problem?

  2. Some Verbatim media have disc problems near the outer edge that will result in a similar hanging. Anyway that's a strange one since you have tried other media and other players.

What operating system are you running and what files system is on your hard drive (FAT32 or NTSF)?

  3. I use NTSF filesystem on all drives and win2000 Pro

I have tryed Memorex, 3tpro and Maxell media.

  4. Do the files play from your computer all the way through using PowerDVD or WinDVD? I always check my files prior to burning and will skip forward to the last chapter to make sure it plays.

BTW I assume all the files are in a "VIDEO_TS" folder then you burn that folder.

  6. Why don't you try not making an image file, perhaps it has something to do with that (just guessing). Maybe use a DVD5 or single layer DVD, rip it to a VIDEO_TS folder on your drive then burn to a "RW" disc with RecordNow or Nero and see if that plays all the way.

  7. I never make a *.img when i create my own backups.. Just those flix that i download who are in all sorts of image formats.

Wonder if it might have anything to do with the burning speed @ 2x ?

Im wasting dvdr's like toilet paper here..

Well I'm not familiar with your burner so I don't know about that. I guess you could try burning at 1x and see if that helps. I know how you feel about the coasters as I went through a good 20 myself until I found this site and figured out what I was doing all wrong. One thing I did do is buy one DVD+RW and one DVD-RW disc so that I could test out my files before wasting a disc on a burn.
