Hi all,
My Toshy DVD is Region 2 only (UK) but I want to buy a film that is only available on R1.
But... It has RCE protection.
My original plan was to buy the film and rip it, removing the region coding... BUT... will the R.C.E. interfere with this when I burn it to DVDr?
Will the RCE transfer to my R2 player and not play the 'backed-up' disc?
Thanks for any help anyone can provide on this.
Cheers.
Comfy.
(PS) The film is 'Never Ending Story 1' which despite my age, I still think is a cool film with a smart soundtrack.![]()

nope the RCE will not carry over, you'll be fine..
as long as your television will display the ntsc dvd-r correctly on your pal television (i'm assuming) then you should be a-okay
