Has anyone successfully used the Pro Video capture cards or the True Blue Motion card?
I am looking for an MPEG card but I don't want to spend megabucks and these seemed to be about the lowest priced cards I have found. Unfortunately, I have not seen much in the way of user feedback.

I just got my Provideo pv256t card today and have only made a couple of test disks .It appears to work pretty good so far . I set it up for svcd 480x480 vbr and it goes straight to nero with no altering in tmpge at all . The test file I made was'nt the best source the original recording has alot to be desired because I am still learning the settings on my sony digital camcorder . I used it to record from the TV part of the card and it looked pretty close to the actual picture . I will try to keep you up to date as soon as I get some time to play with it a little more .

Ricky,
Would love to hear about your experiences with the card. Can you tell me how much you paid for it and where you purchased it? And does it come with Video For Windows drivers? or WDM drivers?

Today I am stuck in the fire station but when I get home from my second job tomorrow I am planning on spending a little time playing with the card a little and see what I can make it do . I don't know what drivers it has off the top of my haed . When I installed it last night I was in a hurry and just wanted to see it record . It captured the tv programI was watching no problem . The one thing that it does'nt do is let you use Sefy's template, when you choose the settings it stays in mpeg-1 I mean you can't choose 352x240 res and mpeg-2 it's meg-1 res and constant bit rate . It does do vbr or cbr in the mpeg-2 seting and you can chnge the bitrate or use the default 2.4 mps . In the advanced settings you can change the I frames and GOP all of which I need to study about as I am not sure what any of these settings will do for the quality of the output . The TV skin is a little funky but I can live with it because it seems to work . I am thinking about hooking it up to my DSS to see what kind of quality I can come up with on a digital capture. I will try to get a sample sent as soon as I get time to aquaint myself with it a little better. As for where I purchased it I went to Provideo directly but they said they did'nt really like to sell them direct but did because they have'nt gotten them out to the USA and had just started to mass produce them.
