I haven't captured any video in months (and months) but I suddenly have a problem - using ATI 7.5 or 7.7, the capture overly looks fine, but when replayng, it repeats the first second of video (in a loop) on the bottom 90% of the display, and only the top 10% is progressing. I've never seen anything like it. Using Vdub, the bottom 90% is green. I tried a whole complete clean install of winxp (home) on another partition, reloaded EVERYTHING - same deal... I'm thinking it's a funky hardware problem... any ideas? (I really don't wanna have to buy another $150 card).
ATI all-in-wonder
win xp home
athlon 1600 on ecs k7s5a (sis chipset)
(ARGHH!!!)
Thanks,
Aerik

Never mind - I just figured out it was macrovision protection!!!
I've only captured home movies before, and due to some funny circumstances, I was testing my setup using one of my kid's Disney movies (I wasn't even trying to copy it, just make sure everything was working right).
Oh well!
