I have a project that was given to me by a friend. Backup an 8-disc TV Series. OK, cool.. no prob... I was checking out out and I noticed there is a Audio Sync Problem. Questions are..

    1. How do I seperate the audio and video files when I extract and decrypt the DVD files?

    2. What should I use to try and sync the audio with the video so that the words are matching their mouths?

    3. After saving that type of file, what would I have to do to burn it as a DVD format?

And you bet I'll be charging my friend, not just for the blank DVDRs, but the time it's gonna take me...
Well, thanks for any help. It was be much apprciated.

PS I'm also think about just forgetting it and burn a straight copy from the DVDs. This sounds like a big hassle, but it would be nice to know.

  3. 1:1 dvd backups are extremely easy...you just need dvd decrypter and IFOEdit( I beleive their are now other programs that do 1:1 copies) after you rip the dvd to your hard drive just split it if it needs to in IFOEdit and burn it to disc... no re-encoding, no re-authoring...keep all the orginal menus,etc....

I agree with ManixTT, will save you alot more time than re-encoding and you wont have to charge your friend so much....
