  1. I have a backup of a dvd to dvd-r but the region is ntsc and it only plays in black and white in ps2
in dvd player its ok but need it to play in colour in ps2 for kids
tried region x but tv does not support ntsc and scart makes no difference
cant re copy the original because kids have lost it
so is there any way to re copy the copy and change the region\ntsc to pal
tried to copy the copy by using dvd decryptor read iso write iso
copied ok but made no difference its still black and white
btw ps2 supports colour as all the copies i do play fine in colour on ps2

will it change anything if i run it through dvd decryptor (not using iso methed but normal)

  2. I suspect that your problem is not with region coding (because you could play the DVDR) but with PAL vs. NTSC. You appear to be trying to play a NTSC disc on a PAL system.

You can not do that. You to either 1) play on NTSC DVD player to a NTSC TV, or 2) convert the DVDR from NTSC to PAL.

Most DVD players on the market will play either PAL or NTSC, go to your setup menu and see if you can select which you want (a very small number of players will convert from NTSC to PAL on the fly for you).

Since you appear to be in a PAL country your TV might also be dual mode (most NTSC tvs are NTSC only, several nicer PAL TVs are dual mode thou).

As for converting the NTSC DVDR to PAL, do a forum search. There are several guides/ideas on how best to do this. Luck
