When I rip a DVD using the Backup option and test the ripped VIDEO_TS folder I get a message asking if I want to change the region. When I select yes or no it still won't play. What gives.

I did go into the settings and check the box to remove regions and I still get a message. Is this a new encryption process to stop copying?

Switch to DVD Decrypter 316 and you will longer have the problem.

I have never had a problem with any DVD with SmartRipper in over 300 rips. Also I just used the default settings. Did you mess with the default settings?
The only times I ran into an error with SmartRipper it always turned out to be a disc problem and then in most cases a simple cleaning fixed the error.
