Good Morning to All,
I have just encounted a very unusual problem. I went to re watch Windtalkers last nite and when I inserted the disc into my player it started making a very loud (and annoying) noise. This noise is akin to when I was much younger and I hooked a playing card to my bicycle so that when I rode it the spokes and the card would create this buzzing or clicking sound.
This noise ONLY occurs with this disc (all the others in my library some 400+) play normally without this noise. I was thinking that maybe this disc was just mal formed. However, I have watched this movie several times before without incident. There is nothing stuck on the disc and it from all outward appearances appears to be flat. Lastly, the movie plays just fine, it is this annoying rubbing or clicking noise that is disturbing.
I have tried it in other players (Daewoo 5800 and PC DVD ROM) without hearing this noise.
Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so, how did you solve the problem. It sure is bugging me. I am thinking of buying another copy to see if it might be a manufacturing dilemma.
Ed
