  1. I've been looking to get a new card for capturing video from vhs and or Satellite and wondered what will work on my p3-733. I have a via chipset, 448 megs of ram, A fastrack 100 with 2 7200 RPM 30G Quantum drives in a striped raid config to capture to. What could I expect out of this using say an AIW Radeon 32DDR, a ATI Radeon 64DDR VIVO, or would a DVC 2 be a better bet? Any help would be appreciated. I'm also running 98SE at the moment but might change to 2000 if I have to.

Any ATI card should work fine. If you can splurge a little more you can get a Dazzle USB card. For video capture I'd saw the Radeon 32DDR will do just fine. I'm using an ATI 128 Rage Pro and am very happen with the results.

  3. I have a ATI RAGE FURY PRO 32mb VIVO, and I'm very happy with it (plus it only cost about $65 USD) and I haven't had a frame drop on my shite p2 400mhz, 320mb ram, system.

Plus you get the best of both worlds Vi and Vo.

  4. Question, what format this card store the captured cideo in? AVI or MPG ? Also can it capture both NTSC and PAL signal?
