Need Good Capture and editing Prog For DV

I just bought a Samsung Dv cam. Im using windows movie maker 2 to capture and edit my video. It has some great editing effects but im worndering if there is another better prog for capping and editing DV. The steps im using now are (cap w/ WMM 2) (Edit with WMM 2) (Then transcode and burn with Sonic Mydvd).... Also My final output is DVD+R
