Hi,
I hope someone might know what I'm doing wrong here:
Converting VHS to DVD-R, some are TV shows @ 29.97 and some are movies that are 23.976fps. I use Avisynth and CCE to encode and use either Ulead DVD Movie Factory, SpruceUp or IFOedit to author. I have 2 different standalones, a Pioneer DV-250, and a Philips DVD825.
All TV shows and basically anything at 29.97 play great in both standalones. The problem is that any movie that was IVTC'd in the encoding process and then had a 2:3 pulldown will not play on the Philips, regardless of media (I've tried 3 or 4 different brands, of which play fine when it is 29.97 to begin with) and it's not the authoring program because I've tried all 3 and the player always just says "Insert Disc". So it has something to do with the 24fps and pulldown, but the same discs play perfectly in the Pioneer player, so I question if it is a problem with the encoding or if it is just the Philips player that is the problem.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I am at my wits end...
Thanks!
