Gifs dont work on my computer plz help!

my lame computer seems to have some funny quirks... for ages now animated gifs have not been working when i browse the net. People keep telling me to switch them on in the internet options but i think they are on... Ive just tried viewing a few gifs with netscape and still no joy. If it was just a browser option it would still work on gifs saved to my hardrive... And it isnt...

interestingly i tried to save this gif and it would only let me save it as a bmp... whats up with that?

In your Internet browser, go to Tools / Internet Options, then delete your temporary Internet files. Strangely enough, this solved my similar GIF problem a while back too.

it turned out to be zone alarm pro blocking them!

Can you also save GIFs correctly now, as GIFs, not just as BMPs?

What settings in ZoneAlarm caused GIFs to be blocked?

saving them was down to the temp internet folder being full, so thats fixed also.

The setting was Zone alarm pros built in ad blocker which has an option, block animation. Once i switched that off they all worked again
