Reposted from Newbie/General section
Greetings,
I am about to embark upon my first attempt to transfer VHS to DVD. I taped my niece's wedding last year and want to burn a DVD for her. I have captured the video onto my spare hard drive using WS and now want to edit out certain scenes. You know the scenes I'm talking about, the ones where you forget to stop filming and have 5 minutes of grass and peoples feet (outdoor wedding). Well, I've read the instruction manual and a book that I bought and still not clear how to do it. Do I make a chapter of the section and then delete it? I'm very confused about the Mark In and Mark Out features of WS. I know there are many Workshop users out there and I'm hoping one of you can help. Thanks

Let me try to help you.
1. Load the video into Workshop.
2. Grab the icon of the video from the Video-General box and drop it into the Chapter list.
3. Press the Mark In button.
4. Move the slider to the part of the video just before the camera is laid down in the grass. Press the Mark Out button.
5. Grab the icon of the video from the Video-General box again and drop it into the Chapter list
6. Move the slder to where the camera is picked up again and is showing you about to propose to the bridesmaid. Press Mark In.
7. Move the slider to where all the guest have applauded her accepting your proposal. Press Mark out.
8. Repeat until you reached the end of your video.
9. Now go ahead and go on to Menu and Finish.
Hope this helps.Hello.
