I've encoded 58 AVI segments, captured from a miniseries, to MPEG-2 using TMPGEnc and the standard DVD template. I successfully authored disc1 using DVD Complete and the first 14 segments. However, in trying to author Disc2 I get the following error when trying to import segment 15. NonCompliant File - "Error - Sequence Start and GOP Header Mismatch. Sequence Headers are required on every GOP. Check Original Video Encoder Settings."

So, at first I thought I somehow had a corrupted file and I re-encoded the segement from AVI to MPEG-2. Got the same error. So next I loaded the MPEG-2 segment into TMPGEnc and ran "correct" under the merge and cut tools section. Same error. What in the heck is this error? How Do I fix it?

I'd apperciate any help on this one.

DVDComplete is damn picky on the MPEG-2 files it accepts.

This isn't going to help you with your problem; but I gave up on that program after I had similar issues. I love DVDComplete menus but that was it.

I would only have the standard suggestion: reload DVDComplete and try again. Alternatively, you could reencode episode 15 with a mpeg-2 to avi utility or load the mpeg-2 file in the modded version of virtualdub and frameserve to TMPGEnc.

I did the other four discs using Ulead DVD MovieFactory (one). Since I wasn't doing menus MovieFactory (one) worked well. In fact, DVD Dazzle Complete reencode the audio whereas MF1 took the TMPGEnc generate MPEG-2 files as is. The resulting disc played well.

The thing that gets me about MF1 is that I usually pull several MPEG-2 segments together to form my DVD. MF1 automatically generates the menus fine but when I play the resultant DVD in my player control at the end of each segment reverts back to the menu and not to the next segment. There is no way (that I've found) around this problem except to combine all the segments into one big file before including them in MF1. This doesn't happen with Dazzle DVDComplete. The menus look good and the setup is easier to follow. However, apparently DVDComplete is very picky about the MPEG-2 files it will accept.
