There's a link to a doom9 guide on the tools page under virtualdub
prob easier to go to doom9 and search for 'virtualdub timer' or use google for that matter.

  3. A timer for vdub certainly exists, I have a copy. But it seems to have been removed from the tools section.

  4. do i need to download something to make the timer work or is it already in virtualdub. i went to doom9 and it said to go to Capture -> Capture Timer and there is no Capture Timer under Capture. i have version 1.4.10 build 13870

  5. It was a separate program. Mine acts kind of funnny sometimes (like I think virtualdub has to be maximized) for it to work right. Very useful though...

  7. If all you want to do is start it manually and have it stop after a certain amount of time, then that functionality is in VirtualDub. I don't have it front of me, but look for something called "stop conditions". (edit: I think it's "stop conditions", I may be mixing it up with another app, but if really all you want is to have it stop after a certain amount of time, I'm sure someone who has it in front of them can give exact instructions)

I too recall that there was some sort of timer/programmer in the tools section for Virtualdub, but now it's gone. If I'm not mistaken it was called a godsgift.
This VDstartPro1_1.zip doesn't seem to be working with 98...(ca. 383 KB, for NT/W2K/XP)
Just because you aren't paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get you!
