  1. I have an avi file that I am trying to extract the audio.
I go through the file open procedures but when i get to Save>Wav, I get this error message.
"Requested audio is not compatable with input format.
Check sampleing rate and channel count of input, match those of requested format."
My file is and avi at 25fps.
I am using the , DIVX to VCD MPEG All-in One Guide.
It wants no -compression at 44100hz.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

What is the audio codec? Check it under file info in Vdub. Do you have the codec installed? Check your file using Gspot (from the Tools section) and get the codec if necessary. AC3 perhaps?

If all else fails use Goldwave to extract your audio. Load your Avi then save, it's all I use for extracting wav files

  3. Hey, try to load that AVI file into TMPGEnc and go to Output... under File menu and there you extract the audio as a WAV file. It works for me whenever I load an AVI file with DivX compressed video and MP3 compressed audio.

you have a 5 channel audio file that does not match your request for a 2 channel stereo file. this is usually caused by ac3 audio. open the file in goldwave then sav the audio as wav and it will become 2 channel. then use this new file as your audio source
