  1. I have TMGEnc Plus version 2.58.44.152 and I can open a Mpeg2 file in the Mpeg tools to cut the file, but it won't let me open the Mpeg2 file to encode it. Does anyone know why and how to get it to open Mpeg2 across the board??

  2. hey, goto https://www.videohelp.com/tmpgencsvcd.htm at the top it says "To convert from MPEG2/SVCD/DVD videos you may need the MPEG2 Plugin or a MPEG2 Codec/Player" go get that MPEG2 plugin and install it. I couldn't encode mpeg2 files but after this plugin they opened fine. I hope that works!

The TMPGEnc mpeg2 plug-in is available in the Tools section, or right here: https://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=TMPGEnc%20MPEG2%20Plugin#comments

Install it and you'll be able to open mpeg2 files in TMPGEnc.
