I have been having this problem since the moment I started using this program. When i try to convert downloaded .avi files to whatever format I want the audio video is not in sync. Whatever tricks I try to pull, it just will not work! I don't know what is causing this problem, but it seems as if I am the only 1 around experiencing this problem, since I don't see any1 else asking about this. Still i hope for an answer to my problem

    Thanks

  2. I assume you are converting avi to mpeg-2. In this case, check "QT decode" and choose a framerate and an audio sampling rate equal to the source avi.

  4. An avi to xvcd I just processed is perfectly in sync when played on the computer. Whether it's the mpg or the bin-both play in sync. But, when I play it on the DVD player there is just the slightest lag time between video and audio.

  5. Try to press "Pause" on your DVD Player and then resume. Does it change anything?

  6. No, no change... (Sony DAV-S500 by the way)

I really should just invest in a more multi-purpose DVD player that doesn't require all this time consuming processing of the various video formats.

This is not to say I haven't had a good deal of success in the past-it's just that on some occasions, like this one, all the effort isn't worth all the trouble.

Thanks for the suggestion though. It's a great app by the way.
