I ordered a Sony DRX-500 external DVD writer six months ago, but have been finally informed that the supplier can not get any supplies of this or the replacement DRX-510UL.Another store has offered me a Freecom FX-50 external writer. I have looked at this and all of the other Forums but can find no information/postings relating to this unit. Given the postings on the difficulty of obtaining Sonys, how come the Freecom has never been mentioned? Is it any good?
Cheers.
