problems making (S)VCD w/ Divx & XVID

How's everyone doing? I've been having an issue with my TMPGEnc I installed xvid codec so I could convert them to Mpeg but when I try to convert the Divx the TMPGEnc is no allowing me to convert them. I have installed nimo, I have done almost everything to solve the problem. Can anyone assist me on this matter? is there anyothe way to convert to MPEG? I apreciate the help

Plenty of guides on AVI to VCD/CVD/SVCD/DVD (all mpeg in one shape or the other) to the left. As for Nimo, this may very well be one of the causes for your troubles. In short, it breaks more than it makes. To get a smooth system, use GSpot or other tool to identify what codec every individual AVI you try to convert needs. Then find and install this/these and only this.

I understand what you are saying, mats.hogberg, but I've been having this problen way before I got Nimo, everything was doing exellent until one morning I could not convert from Divx to (S)VCD. only by getting rid of XVID Codec when I could continue making (S)VCD
