    -DDR PC2700 A-Data 512MB CL2.5 PC333MHz

-Intel Celeron 2.0 GHz Boxed PC400

    -MSI 845GE MAX-L Mainboard S478/533mhz
    ATA/100, ATX, LAN, USB2.0, VGA

-Western Digital Caviar 120GB IDE 7200RPM

  3. Celeron!?!

That's gonna hurt later. I would say go for an Athlon XP+ - about the same price, faster bus, many other advantages. If you really love intel, pitch the extra $$$ for a P4.

I would personally go for an Athlon though

    Just my 2 cents...

Reading your thread I knew the processor AMD vs Celeron vs P4 issue would come up. Go and read this:

  5. I bought a Celeron system.

Because it dont produce as much heat as AMD.

I have a capture card (A/D converter) called Canopus ADVC-50 heard of it?

I think i will be satisfied with the new computer.

When i start makeing big bucks! maybe i will choose the expensive parts.

For capturing DV, some edit and conversion it is good enough i think.

Maybe i would have a bit faster system (edit & converting) with pentium or amd, but pentium cost me more than 100$ more than celeron and AMD cant stand the heat.

I have a video company in Indonesia.

Once tried running a AMD system, but it was no sucess.

Even in Norway now @ summer my AMD pc wich i love restarts it self sometimes due to overheating 70celcius.

I need something afordable and stabile.

Sure i could have bought AC and lots of fans, but it would be more expensive i think.
