    okay, I'll bite...

    - what kind of file are you talking about?
    - what application are you using?
    - what are you trying to do to the file?
    - what do these numbers refer to?

fill us in? or should we guess?

  3. i'm talking in an .avi with virtualdub and I get the following error:

VirtualDub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding source and will rewrite the audio header with standard CBR...creating up to 7326 ms of skew...decompress the audio stream to an uncompressed WAV and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder (bitrate 116.6 +- 11.9kbps).

once i save the wav, put it in with tmpgenc, i encode the mpg but the audio isn't properly matched up with the video: example: their mouths are moving, but theres no sound, and the sound comes after.

    any idea what 2 do?

    thx.

Okay, I haven't had a problem like that with Virtualdub, but it looks like you are being told to re-sample the audio with a constant bitrate of 116.6 kbps, but there's a margin of plus or minus 11.9 kbps.

So somewhere between 104.7kbps and 128.5 kbps will be right...

where is your source coming from? what are you trying to do with it?
