  1. I know there's a bunch of software can join avis. But when it comes 100+, it's kind of hard to add one by one. Is there's a software which I can crate a list of avis, then join all of them together? Thanks.

Bothe PREMIERE and AFTER EFFECT will recognize a sequence
of AVI's to IMPORT directly to the timeline all at ONCE

YOU MUST OBEY a STRICT NAMING CONVENTION HOWEVER

It worked for me to make 2000 still frames into a MOVIE just fine

Please post here if you don't have a manual to look up the special naming
    ritual....

I'd like to point out that if the fps aren't exactly the same you will error out, or create an unwatchable video. This is a very very common problem with captures; 29.968 fps and 29.971 fps are not the same.

Using Vdub you can fix each file first will let you simple glue them together. If you use Premiere, you will have to render the combine files into something, adding another compression onto the current codec.

A piece of shareware that will do it (unlike the expensive Adobe product) is Pecks Power Join.

Just as stated before make sure that the stats on the avi's are all the same.[/b]

  5. I got those avis from my dv by using ScenalyzerLIVE. They are all type2 files. They have name like "scene001, scene002 ...." So, it's good for those softwares?

I will take a look at Pecks Power Join first, and see if it works.

If I join them via software, the type won't change, right?

  6. EOVideo will do this as well -- you can join them, convert them to other types, etc. There's a free 30 day trial so you could probably do what you need if it's just a one pass project.

Come on, gurus, cut him a break. You know he can use AviSynth's "+" command to join as many AVIs as he sees fit, whether they have the same FPS, bit rate, etc or not. Click here.
    Hello.
