  1. Anybody out there has a LCD Projector? Please give comments.
    Currently I am contemplating on one. Been looking into Sony, Sharp, Infocus and Epson.
    Since they are high ticket item, and not very fast moving, few stores have demo units. And the price is in the 4 to 5 figures range, I need all the inputs I can get before I jump into it.
    Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

  2. Just got Infocus LP350 DLP 1024x768 projector.
    Mostly because of reviews at http://www.projectorcentral.com
    Using a JVC723GD DVD w,Svideo projecting on a
    Dalite 80x45in Permwall Hi-Contrast Screen
    Low light conditions are OK, Dark is just Fabulous!!
    Colors are RIGHT ON... RED is RED, BLACK is BLACK
    pixels are invisable, can only see them at about 5ft
    Since my diagional is 92in and Iam viewing from 13ft..
    I really like the Texas Instruments DMD-DLP approach for video, LP350 needs a light baffle but that is minor
    paid $3350 New on Ebay, $425 for the Screen

    InFocus is quite good. However, be sure you get the drivers for it. I never knew they existed and had to put up with crap output until I got them installed!!

  4. You mentioned installing DRIVERS to clean up Output...
    Where do I get them? How do they install?
    Are they just for DATA output or Video too

    Have you tried using the DVI interface yet

    I ordered an IBM oem
    Number Nine Inc 32MB TNT2 AGP Video w/DVI-I Out - TV Out
    Flat Panel and S-Video Ports/M64 Chipset
    comes with DVI->Analog cable now

    After trying 5 or so DVD players
    JVC xv-723GD is by far the BEST picture through S-Video
    Player has it's own controls for picture quality
    Too bad it won't play back SVCD
