  1. Is there any freebie software that captures to Mpeg ?

I tried a demo of Powervcr and the audio/video would get badly out of synch....I do not have this problem with VirtualVCR capturig to AVI but on occassion I would like to capture directly to MPEG...

When I looked a while back, I don't recall finding much. I think I tried WinVCR but it would only cap a minute or so.
