How did you convert from NTSC to PAL?

    What DVD player?

Is it a 100% compliant VCD?

I've had this happen, but I'll need more information to help you fix it.

Heh. No what I meant is ... SVCD2DVDMPG+ doesn't do PAL->NTSC conversions. So how did you convert the file? Or are you just hoping that it'll play properly?

A lot of DVD players WILL play PAL SVCD's but will NOT play PAL SVCD-DVD's. I have found a way to make it work, but... it's not perfect.

Your best bet is to run the movie through TMPGEnc ahead of time, convert from PAL SVCD (480x536) to NTSC SVCD (480x480), and THEN use this program.

  6. yea.your right about besweet.my mistake.
i find that ntsc vcds dont play as smooth as
pal vcds.i think after running it through
    svcd2dvdrmpg+.it makes the problem worse.

Absolutely. Where are you located - in a predominantly PAL country?

My DVD player will play PAL VCD's, but they can tend to get a bit jerky if not perfectly encoded. And ... heaven forbid I convert them to DVD-SVCD's, because then I have to be VERY careful in order to get them to work.

Basically, this program is "faking out" your DVD player. Try not to throw the poor device any more curveballs than you have to.

If you live in a mostly PAL area, do yourself a favor, and use TMPGEnc or something to convert the NTSC movies to PAL before you use this program. You'll be glad. In a mostly NTSC area, do the opposite.

    Bite... me.

I am jealous of all with dual-mode DVD players.
