    hi, i having problem to play DVD region1 at the moment. After i findout my DVD is only give me 5 chance to change region . Now it telling me to go to the manufacture to reset for making another chance playing dvd region1. My dvd is Mashita SR8585 1W29.
    Anyone in here can help me to unlock this drive to make it play region 1 .thanks i used the region killer and dvd genie but not work either .

    i think it has to do with the fw along with the player...but don't quote me

    hi black mask, try here: http://www.firmware.fr.st/ my mate has the same DVD rom and there is a firmware hack for it.
