  1. OK, Ive read SOMEWHERE that there is an AMD MP board from ASUS that there is a hacked bios for that allows you to use regular XP processors in it without havin to mess with the CPUs themselves, its all in the BIOS. ANYONE have a clue which board this is for sure and where to get the BIOS? I need to build a dual 1700 XP rig.

    Thanks In Advance,

There's only one dual AMD board, that Asus makes. It's the A7M266D. It uses the AMD 768 chipset, which does not support dual XP processors.

As for a BIOS hack for the board, I've never heard anything about it.

Are you getting the 1700's so that you can overclock?

  5. No, cause they are cheap. In fact we have a pair not being used right now. Palmino chips. I will likely be getting dual MP 3000's free to replace these soon though. I just gotta have it going first.
