  1. My DVD player plays the first 8 tracks from my cd and the rest (80 mp3 files he doesn't play anymore),
I have another mp3 cd wich won't play at all.

    The player says two things:
first he says that the filename is to long, doesn't support it.
second he jumps to the third track and says: format not recognized.

The bitrate of the files is: 128 kbps and the format is: MPEG layer 111.

I am using musicmatch jukebox to burn and name the track mp3's.

    Anyone any suggestions?

  2. What is the make and model of your DVD player? I suggest you look it up in the "DVD Players" web page of this site.

This CD may have been burned incorrectly for the DVD player to recognize it. Is this CD formatted differently than the others?

first he says that the filename is to long, doesn't support it.
Well, the file name could be too long for comfort, the file name has wierdo characters in it like ô. Have you tried to not use "Joliet" long filename extension on the disc, and instead use only ISO9660 filesystem on the disc (leve 1, or level 2)? I have had strange problems with long file names in Windows audio/video programs.

second he jumps to the third track and says: format not recognized.
The musicmatch software may not be making perfect MP3 files, or some of the MP3 files became corrupt. I personally trust CDex to rip CDs and make MP3 files, then use a separate burning program to put the MP3 files onto a CD.

    CDex website
    cdexos.sourceforge.net

    Good luck!
