First, make sure your AVI has no bad frames. Load it into Virtual Dub, select Video-->Scan video stream for errors, then get back to us.

  5. i was getting the same problem, is the movie you're trying to encode xvid codec?

if so, i had to uninstall tmpgenc, reinstall, convert the movie to a different codec then worked fine, other people have had same problem (search the forums)...

  6. Just change the priorities as follows in your TMPGEnc->Options->Environmental Settings->VFAPI plug-in:

    Directshow.....3
    AVI2(OPEN DML).....1
    BMP/PPM.......-2
    DVD2AVI......-2
    TMPGEnc Project.....-2

Rest of them set all on 0

    I tryed this, it works!!!
