well i just got a dvd burner (pioneer dvd-rw) and installed it, then downloaded dvdshrink and nero 5.5.9.14 and i just played with the first movie I got... The Transporter... i put it in and it was almost small enough as is... but I deleted the foreign languages and subtitles, and that shrunk it enough to use.... so I then copied all the files to my HD.... then used Nero and clicked on all the files, and dragged them to the left side "new cd" into the video-ts folder... then thats all I did... i did select dvd video and not data dvd.... so I really think I did EVERYHTING correct....
i put the dvd in my computer and I can watch the movie with menus and everyhing works perfect.... but when I put in my Toshiba SD-1600 stand alone, it says "check disk"
I tried it twice with the 2 disks that came with my dvd burner... a pioneer dvd-r and a dvd-rw (by the way, how do I erase the dvd-rw)
so what do I need to do? my dvd player is supposed to be able to play dvd-r movies... so must be another problem.... could it be my nero program?? i downloaded it off kazaa... but it seems to work fine... but could there be a problem?? it really does seem to be fine... whats another program to DL ????
or could it be the disks? maybe my dvd player will only recognize certain disk?
or maybe someting I did, iv never done it before.... did I do something wrong?
any thoughts/help is appreciated.... im getting discouraged because Iv tried everything and its not working...

please try to download the latest version of nero from the ahead site and try again. There seem to be some fixes that have been implemented in the latest versions, might help. In Nero under "recorder" there should be an option to "erase rewritable" as long as you have the correct recorder selected. Also if you try to burn enough information to that dvdrw again, nero should as you if you want to "quick erase" the media.

Look up your DVD player in the DVD database, you may want to consider getting a new one. And how do your DVDs work on your computer? Did NeroExpress also come with your Nero bundled software?
Hello. -
If NERO doesn't work when you try again
YOU COULD TRY:
PRASSI (with the updated engine)
RECORD NOW (DX or MAX)
and
even
EASY CD CRATOR 5.14 or higher can do it in DATA DVD mode
Also.. your burns work fine in the COMPUTER? Maybe some "REGION CODING" slipped by the DECRYPTER..don't know how this happens, but it does (anybody?)
Once you make a set top player..check the burn in your buddy's DVD player too! -
ok, i downloaded the new Nero and still nothing..... did the exact same.... when I put in computer it works.... but when I put in my dvd player, it doesnt..... its like it wants to work, but doesnt.... it scans the disk for about 10-15 secs... then says check disk...... so should I download another program or is there something I might be doing wrong????

although pioneer media is generally good, it is possible your set top doesn't like 'em. did you try another brand?
sometimes set tops make no sense - my old one played riteks great but hated Apples. -

Here are some things you should look at . Get a legit version of nero and if its not 5-5-10-35 then go to their website and get the upgrade . Use DVD Decrypter to rip all of the files in file mode . The transporter will fit on one disc without alteration . Use nero to burn the files in dvd video mode with the default settings . Make sure you click on the video ts folder before you drag the files to the middle box . Maybe this will help you out .
