I have been reading the "How many dropped frames is too many?" thread and it got me thinking: How can I tell if I have dropped frames?![]()
I have the WinTV-PVR250 card and I am using the bundled WinTV2000 software to record my shows. I can't seem to find any info about captured frames/dropped frames/etc.![]()
Thanks!

Dropped frames are for people who use their computer's cpu as the main workhorse in capturing uncompressed avi. Your wintv pvr 250 card uses a dedicated mpeg2/mpeg1 hardware encoder, dropped frames should not be a problem, and only a fraction of your cpu's processor is involved in the capturing process (mine is usually less than 3%).
