  1. I bought a few binder cases that allows you to store 4 CDs or DVDs on a single envelope sheet . Two CDs or DVDs are stored on each side of the sheet.

The sheets have clear plastic envelopes and the back of the sheet is a cheese cloth type paper...There are 5 sheets in a binder, so a total of 20 CDs or DVDs can be stored per binder ...

I removed a few CDs from these cases and noticed the cheesecloth is leaving it's imprint on the bottom side of my CD-Rs. This can be easily polished off with a clean cloth and some water....but what would be causing this ? Moisture or condensation ? Is this something I should be concerned about ? The cheesecloth is not dyed or coloured. and is white.

The mark is almost like a finger print and on some CDs almost all the CD-R's bottom side is marked with this cheesecloth markings...

Any one here have a similar experience ? Should I be concerned ?

  2. I'd be concerned if for no other reason than the extra work to clean the disk before usage.

    YMMV
